Right now, and more than ever, it is critical to ensure all possible precautions are taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the children and families served by Unlocking The Spectrum. Unlocking The Spectrum’s mission is to provide the highest quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to all children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Throughout these unprecedented times, UTS is committed to providing the children and their families with flexible therapy options by offering home-based autism therapy services to help battle the spread of COVID-19. According to Marc Baumgardt, Executive Director of Unlocking The Spectrum, he stated “The safety and well-being of our clients and staff is absolutely paramount. We are excited to offer home-based therapy so we can continue to ensure our clients, their families and staff are safe and healthy during these turbulent times”.
By providing in-home therapy services, the exposure risk to contract COVID-19 is reduced, while also allowing families the opportunity to keep their child at home in a safe environment. In-home based services allow the clients and staff to reduce exposure to others, along with minimizing cross-contamination between other staff and clients. UTS continues to monitor this constantly changing situation and is working to ensure everyone is safe throughout this unprecedented time in uncharted territories.
