“I think Unlocking The Spectrum does a great job of emphasizing that the main focus each day should be kept on what is applicable to our clients’ best interest now and moving forward. I was introduced to the field of ABA after realizing that my career as an elementary teacher was likely not the best fit for me. I shared with a friend that I was not feeling effective in teaching my students with the 30-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio and that something more objective or math-oriented was probably more suitable for me. She shared the data-oriented and one-on-one aspects of ABA with me and I fell in love the more I researched! I became a Registered Behavior Technician at Unlocking The Spectrum in 2016. My Regional Director at the time noticed my interest in analyzing data and graphs to make further decisions for clients and asked if I would be interested in going back to school to become a BCBA. Luckily, I have not looked back since!”
“I love the individualized nature of ABA and how it allows BCBAs to focus on the best treatment strategies based on the specific needs and data for each unique client. It is so fulfilling to see a team of employees all working together around the clock to help an individual meet goals very specific to increasing his/her quality of life. The shared enthusiasm from the client and all team members involved each time a client meets a major milestone that will help him/her in life is incredibly rewarding to witness!”
